Only 50 sophomores are accepted into the BJU nursing program each year, so making it through that freshman year is especially tough for nursing majors. But a student who has been accepted is guaranteed admission into the UNA, an organization which bonds sophomore, junior, and senior nursing students. “It builds camaraderie between different levels,” says Daniel Sasek, senior nursing major and the UNA president. “The upper classmen can share their knowledge and say, ‘Oh, we went through that! We took those classes.’”
